Share a little about who you are and how you enjoy staying active. I stay active most of all with my two rambunctious 2 and 4 year old kids and my husband! Aside from that, I love to run, bike, practice yoga, and stay active with my coworkers doing Insanity workouts during lunch and races on the weekends. I also love gardening, home renovations, and trips to our cottage.

What makes you the most excited about this year’s Whoville race? I love how this race brings families together, gets them active despite the cold weather, and gets everyone excited for the holidays! As my kids grow up, I am so excited to see them be involved and having fun dressing up and running the kids race! And of course the cookies and hot chocolate…that really is the best part isn’t it?

Share a little about who you are and how you enjoy staying active. I am a full-time working wife, and mom of three. I enjoy family fitness. Bike riding with the spouse and basketball with the kids is so much fun. We love making friendly competitions out of anything! With the children being active in so many things it can become challenging to make mom a priority but getting to the gym by 6 a.m. has become mom’s sport!

What makes you the most excited about this year’s Whoville race? Being involved in Whoville is special because volunteering years ago is where I learned how to make one of my favorite holiday classroom party treats. The night before the race I was assigned to kitchen duty and had no idea I would walk away with a valuable skill. I told my kiddos that participating in 5ks is not all about running and they benefit from mom’s passions too. This year I get to give back in another way. Giving back is what it is all about. I am always learning new things every time I say YES, that is what it is all about.

No two days are the same in my fitness world – we like to run, do bleachers, circuits, HIIT, strength train, crossfit, play pickle ball – you name it!
